That's why my approach, while based on education and theory, relies on the lessons I have learned in helping others on their counseling journey. More Info About My Practice

My practice was started after eight years of agency work in my hometown of Charlotte. I am excited about the opportunity to reach more people through my practice and to work with teens and adults on finding their best self! I am in network with some insurances but I will work with clients on a sliding fee scale as needed.

I work with adults and teens on various issues. I have experience in treating drug and alcohol abuse and addiction, chronic pain, personality disorders, adjustment disorders, anxiety, and depression. I am not a therapist who is going to label someone or tell you there is only one path to a positive outcome. I have experience in working with people who are just experiencing the valleys of life and want support in managing these times and getting back their focus.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

If you are thinking about therapy...go for it! There are no long-term contracts with me. Part of my job is to ensure you are comfortable enough to let me know if therapy is not working or if you need another therapist. In either case, I can try to connect you to the right resources.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

There are many factors in choosing a therapist; the most important is your opinion that it's a good fit. I do caution you not to look for a therapist who will just take it easy on you. It is important to have a therapist who will challenge you and help you make progress. The right fit of therapist can sometimes be very different from what people are expecting. Having an open mind is important as well!
