My Approach to Helping
I specialize in working with individuals struggling with mood diagnoses, anxiety, panic, stress, life transitions, and trauma. It is my goal to create a safe and judgment-free space in which my clients are able to explore the depths of their mental well-being. Overcoming life challenges alone can feel defeating and isolating. I believe healing can occur when an individual feels supported, heard, and understood. I am honored to be a part of my clients’ journey through their mental health recovery.
I believe you are the expert in your own life and it is my role to assist you in navigating the many challenges life throws at us. I believe in helping you identify your strengths and implementing them into your cognitive and emotional health. I will challenge your unhelpful thinking patterns and encourage you to explore your inner wisdom to cope with life's hurdles.
I predominantly use cognitive behavioral therapy to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. This approach involves learning cognitive coping skills, reframing thoughts, challenging irrational thinking, increasing emotional intelligence and awareness, activating wanted behaviors, and creating healthy habits. In addition, I use solution-focused therapy to assist you in problem solving and processing issues that need to be resolved. Most importantly, I prioritize encouraging you to believe in your own inner power, strength, abilities, and resilience to overcome any issue you may encounter.
