My Approach to Helping
I love people and I know firsthand how hard it can be to live life on this crowded planet. In my years as a meditation teacher, I most valued sitting with people, spending time, and getting to know them. Through the years I've noticed that everyone suffers to one degree or another and, unfortunately, most people do so alone. Yet it doesn't have to be this way. You don't have to suffer alone and in silence, fearful that you are the only one who feels the way you do.
In my psychotherapy practice, I do my best to listen to you and understand where you're coming from. I want to help you find your own way forward--to find a way out of the dark shadow of suffering and into the light of purpose and meaning. I won't judge you or look down on you; I'll work with you to help you discover what you most want and how to achieve it.
More Info About My Practice
I try to create a very relaxing environment in my office space. I want you to feel comfortable enough to let go and be yourself during our sessions together and to unburden yourself of your troubles. It's very important to have a place to go that is a refuge from all the worry and struggle of life and I work hard to create that kind of environment in my therapy practice, both in the office itself and in the therapy sessions.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
It takes enormous strength and courage to come to terms with deep, sometimes frightening, emotions such as hatred, rage, hopelessness, and terror. It's warriors work. If you are seeking therapy for the first time, I encourage you to take the risk. I would be honored to get to know your full self, not just the mask you feel you have to show the world.
