My Approach to Helping
As a therapist, the relationship I develop with clients is based on respect, support and encouragement, and is focused on building their individual strengths and resources. I believe that a nonjudgmental and welcoming environment is crucial to provide a safe space for clients discuss past and current issues and move forward.
I work with children, adolescents and adults who are seeking help with depression, anxiety, family relationships, social difficulties, and transitions. I have extensive experience in the educational and healthcare hospital settings. I have worked with children diagnosed with emotional impairment and autism; as well as families and individuals coping with life transitions, devastating illness, grief and loss. My approach is eclectic, tailored to each individual, and uses strategies, techniques and tools that best fit the needs and preferences of each client.
When life feels overwhelming and decision making becomes difficult, finding a place to explore your feelings can be the first step towards a happy and balanced life. I love my work and feel privileged to be able to share the journeys of my clients
