My Approach to Helping

Many of us accept lives that are much less than what we hoped for. Throughout life's ups and downs it can be easy to get stuck feeling like inferior versions of ourselves. Our work together will help you to battle life transitions, complacency, or addiction so that you can find their your way back to yourself. I will guide you towards finding security and peace when you feel lost or stuck. It can be difficult to find life in the midst of confusion and discouragement, but therapy can help direct you towards clarity, true healing and freedom.

I have extensive experience working closely with those who are recovering from addiction and know what it takes to create a life you love after enduring challenging life transitions. Therapy is an excellent resource to help rediscover passion and purpose in life. I assist clients with their healing, but also provide guidance for developing a comprehensive recovery and self care plan. Call me today for a free consultation.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

We all have a deep need to be known, seen, and loved. Therapy provides a safe space for these needs to be met. Roadblocks like shame, fear, trauma, and complacency can get in the way and disconnect us from others. Therapy is a space to unravel these issues so that we can fully engage in the relationships we desire.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

One of the most courageous decisions we can make is choosing to intentionally face our own pain and heartache. Once we do, we no longer need to run from it. Doing this work leads to a sense of inner peace and freedom that can only be known through direct experience. Therapy is an ideal place to start this journey.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

It is a simple truth that we all face pain throughout our lives. Running from this pain normally does limit us. Facing it expands our world, builds our strength, and allows for deeper connections. Facing pain is absolutely a sign of strength, and therapy is a great option when choosing this path.
