My Approach to Helping

Dr. Clark Slagle is a licensed psychologist who provides therapy to adults of all ages. Dr. Slagle works with clients to help them understand how to improve symptoms relating to their presenting concern as well as understanding and changing the underlying cause.

In collaborating with clients, Dr. Slagle adjusts treatment to match what they are needing including developing emotional awareness and the impact on thoughts, using mindfulness and meditation to reduce anxious feelings, and develop understanding of the impact that others have on their well-being.

Dr. Slagle believes that empathy and self-compassion are essential to healing.

Dr. Slagle enjoys working with diverse clients and has practiced in university counseling centers as well as private practice. He believes that understanding culture and the impact of various isms is a crucial part of the therapeutic process.

During his career, Dr. Slagle has worked with clients to help them overcome a variety of issues, especially depressed and anxious mood and adjusting to changes in life circumstances.

Dr. Slagle earned his Bachelor’s degree at Cornell University and graduated from the University of Utah with a Master’s and Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology.
