My Approach to Helping
A life absent of any suffering is one that has not been lived. Emotional discomfort related to loss, hardship, and lack of meaning is an intrinsic aspect of what it means to be human and yet, we tend not to be encouraged to explore the uncomfortable sensory experiences tied to suffering. If you are willing, the therapeutic space that we collaborate to create will nurture your curiosity, self-discovery, and mindfulness within a healing environment. Each client that I have the pleasure of working with is approached holistically and through an intersectional lens. I provide nonjudgmental care to clients from all backgrounds.
Liberating shame and promoting self-acceptance is a large aspect of the work that I facilitate. My areas of interest include relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma, mood fluctuations, addiction, identity exploration, and sex therapy. I have immense compassion for each individual and couple that I serve through an integrative interpersonal approach.
The process of finding a therapist can bring up feelings of nerves and discomfort. Today you braced that and I applaud you for it. A strong client-therapist relationship promotes progress and allows for a meaningful connection to occur for the both of us.
