My Approach to Helping

Are you feeling emotional pain and don't know what to do? Are you tired of feeling that way? Are your relationships a mess? Now is the time to reach out and have someone come alongside. You don't have to go through this alone. My desire is we can work together for you to get through the pain and problems and find new ways, healthier ways, of living life. Your honest feedback each session will help me fit into the style and methods that will most help you. I like to look at the whole person- your relationships, your emotions, your thinking, as well as where you are physically (nutrition, exercise, etc.) and spiritually and the past memories that may be affecting you. I meet you where you are. I use a variety of approaches to bring about the results you want. Each of our 14 therapists utilize different approaches that is the best fit for you, whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, a difficult marriage, your child is struggling, or something that is blocking you from reaching your full potential-we can help.

More Info About My Practice

I am the Director and one of the 14 therapists that work at Light the Way Counseling Center. We have 6 locations plus telehealth to help serve you better. Our main office is in Midland Park with additional offices in Fort Lee, Rutherford, Bloomfield, Randolph and Phillipsburg.. We have counselors who speak Spanish and Korean. We are out of network with insurance and I will gladly discuss our reasons for that. Our fee is $150 for an hour. We offer a FAST START that is especially helpful for families and couples for their first session, which is 2 hours to really dig into the reasons for counseling and get the help started quickly. Contact us and we can help get you started on your new, healthy journey.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Typically, I see people once a week. When you first come in I will recommend the frequency of visits that is most beneficial for you. In the beginning, it is helpful for faster healing to meet consistently every week. Sometimes, it may be more frequently at first and then after a few weeks, or more, you may be ready to come in less frequently. The feedback that I receive from you, at each session, will help determine the services, methods and frequency in our work together.
