My Approach to Helping
It has been my experience that personal connections are the pathways to finding solutions in life. My passion is helping people to uncover their strengths and develop the connections necessary to find healthy perceptions of themselves and peace.
I am a warm, and accepting person with strengths in working with teenagers and adults experiencing emotional struggles. My approach to counseling is person-centered and strength-based. Cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed, and solution-focused practices are my primary modalities of therapy.
My educational background includes a PhD in Social Work and Humans Services, a Masters in Social Work, and a BS in Sociology. I have training in trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy.
