My Approach to Helping

Former Clinical Director launching a private practice in Hickory NC. Are you worried about changes in your child's behavior? Have they been more withdrawn, angry, or moody than usual? Have you been diagnosed with an invisible illness associated with chronic pain such as Fibromyalgia and are tired of suffering alone? Have you or your child experienced either a traumatic event, major life adjustment, or loss of someone via death or divorce?

If you answered yes and are ready to begin your healing journey I am here to help. Getting help is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

1. Schedule a Comprehensive Clinical Assessment.
2. Meet with me to discuss your strengths, needs, and goals for therapy. 3. Develop together your plan of success.

Most new clients are scheduled within 24-48 hours.

More Info About My Practice

I come from a family systems model meaning my philosophy of care highly involves caregivers. You are not the cause of your child's struggles; however, you ARE the key to their feeling better. Your child spends only a drop in the bucket of time with me and the majority of the remainder with you as their guide, coach, and teacher. I have influence; however, the magic of therapy happens in the moments not only in session but the practice of new skills outside of the session. Whether an adult or child; making real change requires sweat equity into your wellness. You can do it and I can help!

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My passion to provide compassionate results-driven care comes from my own journey through both my own traumatic history as well as adult diagnosis of a chronic pain disorder. I believe I offer a unique perspective as I've been on the other side of the chair trying to find a 'good match' and 'pushing through' when therapy became tough. The results have been profound in my life and I've seen my clients achieve symptom reduction over the course of 12-24 sessions. If you are ready for hope and healing to manifest in your life then I'm here to help. Let's do this!
