My Approach to Helping
My role is to help you tap into your resilience, build motivation, and feel empowered to make the changes that matter most to you, while providing you with the tools to do so. I believe therapy is a space where you feel seen, supported, and challenged in meaningful ways. I work with teens and adults healing from multiple traumas, domestic or community violence, PTSD, grief and loss, dissociation, intense emotions, and identity-related challenges. I've worked in many different settings—community clinics, hospitals, intensive outpatient programs, and private practice—which has allowed me to support people through a wide range of challenges.
My practice is grounded in culturally-affirming, anti-oppressive, and inclusive care—welcoming and honoring all identities and lived experiences. My approach is warm, compassionate, and direct. I take time to understand you—your story, your identities, and the systems that shape your life. I integrate various evidence based therapies such as, trauma-focused therapy, relational work, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, art, and somatic interventions, tailoring each session to your needs.
Together, we’ll build skills for emotion regulation and self-compassion—while exploring your story at a pace that feels safe. My goal is to provide therapy that is effective, deeply personal, and responsive to your goals. If you’re ready to start healing and developing practical skills for growth, I'd be honored to support you. My sessions are currently being offered primarily via telehealth, with some availability in person in Ferndale or Ypsilanti. Reach out for a free consult to see if we are a good fit!
