My Approach to Helping
Healing begins with listening and establishing a warm accepting relationship. I genuinely listen to you and assess your unique needs and goals for counseling. Throughout the therapeutic process, I help you develop mindfulness and make positive shifts in your thinking and actions, that result in attainment of your goals and a more positive reality.
I have 13 years of experience with a diverse array of clients. My style has shifted from a clinical model to a more holistic (mind,body,spirit) approach. With the whole client in mind, I incorporate meditation, body awareness and creative therapy techniques into the cognitive-behavioral therapy process. With couples, I employ the effective research-based Gottman Method.
