My Approach to Helping
I am committed to a non-judgmental, compassionate approach. I have been working in the healing arts for almost two decades now. I practiced Therapeutic Bodywork for about ten years; which developed in me a keen understanding of somatic dynamics and the interwoven relationship between mental, emotional and physical patterns of expression. Working with at-risk-youth, I helped adolescents and families in moving through important life transitions and challenging relationship dynamics. I've spent the last six years working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, isolation, relationship issues, addiction and PTSD. These experiences and training in evidence-based practices such as Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Ecopsychotherapy, Somatic Work and Trauma-Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy serve my eclectic approach to Psychotherapy and the healing process.
