My Approach to Helping
My counseling philosophy revolves around the belief that each person possesses an innate capacity for resilience and self-discovery. I view the therapeutic process as a collaboration in which clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a safe and judgment-free environment. Together, we work towards developing coping strategies, personal insight, and lasting positive change.
As a child of divorce, I bring an understanding of some of the disruptions that accompany this family-life transition. In addition, I am proud to celebrate thirteen years of sobriety. Successfully making this change not only transformed my own life, but also fueled my passion for helping others recover from addiction. I consider myself blessed to have the opportunity to guide and inspire others.
I hold a master’s degree in Counseling from Divine Mercy University. Throughout my career, I have gained experience working with diverse populations in various settings, honing my skills in various counseling approaches to provide effective, evidence-based support.
Taking that first step is a courageous act, and I am here to support you. Contact me for a confidential consultation, and let’s explore how we can work together to help you achieve your goals and cultivate a life of meaning and fulfillment.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Going to therapy is actually a sign of strength and self-awareness, not weakness or flaw. Here are a few reasons why:
1. **Self-Awareness and Courage**: Seeking help shows that you are aware of your struggles and are courageous enough to address them. It takes bravery to confront personal issues and work towards improving your mental well-being.
2. **Personal Growth**: Therapy is a tool for personal development. Just as someone might go to a gym to improve physical health, therapy helps in enhancing mental health and emotional resilience.
3. **Normalizing Help-Seeking Behavior**: Mental health issues are common, and seeking help is a proactive step. It?s just as normal as going to a doctor for physical health concerns.
4. **Learning and Coping**: Therapy provides valuable skills and strategies to cope with life's challenges. It equips individuals with tools to handle stress, manage emotions, and improve relationships.
5. **Breaking Stigmas**: By going to therapy, individuals help to break the stigma surrounding mental health and demonstrate that taking care of one's mental health is as important as physical health.
6. **Strength in Seeking Solutions**: Addressing problems through therapy shows a commitment to finding solutions and improving one's quality of life, which is a sign of strength and resilience.
