My Approach to Helping
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a multifaceted perspective in supporting individuals desiring to make a substantive change in their lives. Having worked in the financial services industry for 14 years as an investment advisor financial planner, I saw the impact of competent counsel when combined with a supportive, trusting relationship. This motivated me to pursue my goal of becoming a therapist.
Since becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have been fortunate to assist clients in a wide variety of settings by developing a relationship of trust and providing practical, yet compassionate insight. I work with busy professionals, their spouses and families to harmonize goals with life purpose in order to achieve and maintain a healthy work-life balance. This absence of balance may lead to loss of direction and lack of purpose resulting in a depressed mood, excessive anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues and a general lack of comfort dealing with life’s ambiguities. I collaborate with clients to expand their level of personal awareness by emphasizing the importance of creating and putting into practice more effective thinking, habits, and behaviors. My ultimate therapeutic goal is to help facilitate positive change to bring clients closer to the life they desire in an efficient and purposeful manner.
