My Approach to Helping

Do you ever feel as though life is going great when seemingly out of nowhere something feels off or taking the next step in life seems daunting? Life is truly beautiful, but it also can be unexpectedly messy sometimes. Regardless of the situation, our attachments, experiences, cognition, and family-of-origin can impact our lives in a variety of ways that can be difficult to handle alone.

My number one priority is that every client feels valued and comfortable by incorporating
humor, compassion, and honesty in every session and interaction we have. I believe strongly that creating a safe environment for individuals and couples to feel comfortable being vulnerable and facing themselves honestly is the key to successful change. Making the call to start therapy take a lot of bravery and I take your choice to entrust me very seriously. You matter, you deserve help, and there is hope that life can be different with some hard work, time, and care.

I specialize in working with couples and individuals ages 12 and up on the complex reality we call life. No one is truly an island, so I use a relational and systemic approach to understand and address all the cultural, social, and internal influences impacting an individual’s or couple’s well-being. Together, we will uncover how emotions, internal processing, attachments, relationships, and trauma are impacting your happiness and drive. Using trauma-sensitive and LGBTQ+ informed care, I can help you start to move the roadblocks in your life out the way no matter how they got there. We are all human and I strive to utilize the imperfections inherent in human nature to build relationships and help my client grow as we work together through our sessions.
