My Approach to Helping

I receive immense satisfaction in working with adults who want to see change and improvement in their life circumstances and the challenges they face. This doesn't mean overnight change, but one of unfolding and reaching a deeper self-understanding. My office and my professional approach helps provide a safe, nurturing and healing environment.

My specialty areas range from mood disorders, anxiety, panic and phobias to relationship, spirituality, women's and addiction issues. Additionally, I enjoy and have a lot of experience in working with women and the issues unique to being a woman in our society.

My practice offers evening and weekend hours; therefore, making it ideal for the working professional and others who need non-traditional hours. My goal is to help each client see their potential resilience and path to a healthier and happier life. Ultimately we all want and deserve to be happy, at peace and fulfilled with our lives.

More Info About My Practice

Although I do not presently participate on any insurance panels I do provide what is considered Out-of-Network services. Additionally, I accept Cash, Major Credit Cards, PayPal, as well as FSA/HSA accounts as payment for services. My fee for an in-office 50 to 60 minutes session is $150. My underlying belief is that psychotherapy should be available to all people. Therefore, I provide reduced fees on a limited basis to those needing special assistance due to income restraints.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

It is humbling to have an individual invite you into their private world and for you to witness their transformation. Big, small, sometimes stumbling, the path not straight but in the end--if you remain with the process--the rewards are many. I remain humbled and in awe of the work my clients do. The power of hope cannot be underrated! I am honored to be able to assist people in improving their lives; it is the most fulfilling professional role to have in my opinion.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

Your feeling supported, safe and heard are both important and key to our working together. Our therapeutic relationship is the foundation of the work you will do in therapy. It is my job to create that foundation so that you can do your work and accomplish your goals. I do not direct the agenda but rather you direct the agenda. This is your work, this is your life and I'm here to empower you.
