My Approach to Helping

I am the owner and primary Clinician of the Best Life Counseling Center (BLCC).

My mission for BLCC is to assist Teens and Emerging Adults with challenges that may be interfering with reaching their goals, particularly in the areas of school, workplace and peer and family relationships. They can expect to learn problem-solving and coping skills and how to establish values and personal identity. As a result of patient and non-judgmental support, teens and emerging adults will feel encouraged to build a strong, healthy foundation for the future.

More Info About My Practice

The primary service of BLCC is individual counseling. Family members or significant others/spouses may participate as needed.

The office is located in close proximity to Cal State University, Northridge (CSUN).

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Depression
Anxiety/Panic
Relationship Challenges
Suicidal Ideation
Borderline Personality Disorder
Family Conflict

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I have experience working as a psychotherapist since 1997. I am excited about helping people create solutions to their problems and reach their goals. It is very rewarding to hear people express that they are feeling better and that they have found hope for difficult situations.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I view therapy as a positive form of self-care. Sometimes people need an objective viewpoint to help them make decisions. Talking to someone who is not involved in the problem can make things seem more clear. It can also help you solve a problem rather than getting stuck in a difficult situation that can be solved. Therapy is as much a reasonable way to feeling better as seeing a doctor for a medical problem. In many cases seeing a therapist can be live-saving!
