My Approach to Helping
I have the best career in the world----what an honor to work with teens, adults, families and couples to help them develop their strengths, learn from past challenges, and make progress on their dreams. People leave my office happier, with great skills for addressing the daily challenges that face them, and renewed hope that they can have a joyful life no matter what trials or triumphs lie ahead.
You will have a safe, non-judgmental, confidential relationship in which you can count on respect, warm encouragement, and honest feedback that supports you in reaching your goals.

What I Usually Need to Know to Help
We learn a lot about who we will become in the families we grow up in, the peer groups we travel with, and to some degree in our social media contacts. Each of these can have a strong impact for good or ill. While I don't spend a lot of time on the past, I do want to understand the many factors that have influenced you. To that end I draw a Genogram, a sort of family tree, that we can refer to as you make progress.
