My Approach to Helping
Christina Jeffrey is a licensed psychotherapist working with adults and couples. She focuses on anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, mood disorders, addiction, boundary issues, and more.
For individual clients, Christina draws on Beck’s cognitive theory and incorporates interventions from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Positive Psychology. For couples, she also incorporates aspects of Emotion Focused therapy.
Christina’s engaging personality immediately puts clients at ease. She uses humor and compassion to show her clients that despite feelings of isolation, she’s always on their side. Her primary goal is to help clients identify self-defeating thoughts and behaviors, while equipping them with a more adaptable, flexible outlook.
Christina earned a Master’s in Professional Counseling and an Ed.S. from Seton Hall University in 2015. She has been a member of the American Counseling Association since 2012, and brings years of experience working as a mentor.
Her key to success is maintaining a healthy work-life balance. When she’s not making her clients laugh, she’s baking, hiking with her husband and daughter, or watching British TV shows.
