My Approach to Helping
I am a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in the East Bay Area. I provide Telehealth and in-person therapy services. I specialize in working with clients who experience anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), life transitions, and relationship issues. I strive to create a warm, trusting, and supportive environment, which I believe is essential to the healing process. I work collaboratively with clients to address their emotional distress and help them achieve self-growth and the changes they are looking for.
As a therapist, I use an integrative approach to psychotherapy, combining my psychodynamic educational background with cognitive behavioral, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness techniques. Through an integrative model and a strong client-centered relationship, I tailor each person’s treatment to their individual needs and goals. In my practice, I also aim to help clients foster a deeper understanding and awareness of past and current relational patterns as well as gain new perspectives on their life stressors.
I am a bilingual and bicultural psychologist who feels passionate about cultural diversity. I understand everyone is unique and relates to therapy differently; therefore I believe cultural sensitivity is key to developing an effective treatment approach. Working with diverse populations on a wide range of issues and different modalities has been an invaluable professional and personal experience. I invite you to visit my website above to learn more about myself. Bilingual therapy is provided in English/Spanish.
