My Approach to Helping
Are you trying to make a change or dealing with an inevitable turning point in life? My specialty is helping people work through transitions. Common areas my clients seek help with include anxiety, depression, relationships, career path, and identity. I especially enjoy working with millennials, new transplants building a life in San Francisco, young professionals in demanding tech or biotech startups, college, grad school students, and individuals uncertain of what step to take next.
I have two office locations in San Francisco: NOPA-Alamo Square and in the Flood Building near Powell St. BART.
I can help you identify obstacles to being your best self. This may include igniting your creativity, building motivation, learning how to better handle conflict, or improving your self-esteem. I provide an open, inviting space to explore what's bothering you and help you find some answers.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you move mindfully towards your values while managing uncomfortable emotions and problematic thoughts. If you need help making decisions, I will also use a technique called Motivational Interviewing to help you explore, sort, and prioritize your choices. My approach is validating, collaborative, and supportive. I look forward to hearing from you!
