My Approach to Helping
Christian Umeh is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). He received his Master of Clinical Nurse Leader (CnL) from the University of Maryland School of Nursing, Baltimore. He obtained a Post-Masters Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner from Drexel University, Philadelphia. After extensive experience ranging from critical care medicine, emergency medicine, and Trauma-Surgical program, he proceeded to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley for a Post-Masters Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). With over 13 years of experience in mental health and critical care medicine, he has delivered patient-centered care in a variety of settings, including inpatient/outpatient psychiatry, critical care medicine, urgent care, and emergency medicine.
Christian has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of patients with dual diagnosis, schizophrenia, psychosis, mood issues, and anxiety. Christian is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the Nurse Practitioner Association of Texas.
