My Approach to Helping
I am the founder of Self Cared For Counseling Services. At Self Cared 4 Counseling Services, we believe that people are the pilot of the therapeutic process. The clinician simply serves as a co-pilot, providing you with the skills and therapeutic insight to achieve your goals. Whether you would like to mitigate the symptoms of anxiety or depression, learn how to communicate better with your loved ones, or overcome childhood traumas, Self Cared 4 Counseling Services, believes that the first steps are believing you are worthy and empowering you so that you may begin making self-care a priority.
I utilize a client-centered approach when working with my clients. This means that the client's goals are my priority. Many clients have expressed feeling like they have no control in the therapeutic process in the past and that their previous therapist has not provided them with their diagnosis, treatment plan goals, or expectations for therapy. I believe in working with my clients to create these goals together. All of my clients understand their diagnosis and the treatment plan goals in order to improve their daily lives.
