My Approach to Helping
My approach is holistic, experiential, and dynamic. I value your mind, body, heart, and soul and often ask questions to help you gain a deeper internal focus. I am emotion-focused and I intend to help you connect to your internal world, your relationships, your unique history, and your hopes for the future. I take an active role in our therapeutic relationship, meaning that I am involved in the conversation and the process happening in the “room”. I see people as being complex and dynamic. I am curious about what makes you, you, and how you came to be this person you are now.
Lastly, and most importantly, I believe in therapy. It is hard, messy, and uncomfortable at times, and I have seen people change, heal, and completely transform their lives. If you made it this far to consider talking to someone, then you already took a huge step. Keep going!
