My Approach to Helping
** I am currently accepting telehealth sessions as a response to the COVID-19 virus spread.**
Anxiety and depression can take away our ability to enjoy life, and sometimes even take away our ability to perform our typical daily activities. They can rob us of our hope for the future or send us down a rabbit hole where we dwell on our past; making us feel like there is no escaping our regrets, losses, guilt and rumination. We may feel we have to pull away from friends and family because we feel like a burden, which leaves us lonely and isolated. Therapy is a place where we can explore these struggles in depth as we find ways to re-establish our sense of control and direction in our lives.
I work with young adults (18-35) who are struggling with anxiety, depression, social phobia, agoraphobia and Panic Disorder. I help clients by supporting them in identifying and confronting their fears, negative beliefs, and behaviors that prevent them from achieving their goals and finding meaning in their life.
If you are unsure about what to expect and if therapy can be beneficial for you, you are not alone. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation so you can ask questions, get a feel for my personality and see if we would be a good fit. I accept out of network and private pay, and work on a sliding scale.
