My Approach to Helping
Life is filled with stressful situations, and at times many people find they have difficulty moving through their current situations. In my work, I help clients identify the areas of life, both past and present, that are holding them back. We then collaboratively work together to find new strategies and ways of thinking about these situations that help them get past these obstacles so that you can meet your goals. Along the way, I help provide useful psychoeducation as to how the mind works, as well as provide techniques and skills to help you overcome the blocks that stand in your way of achieving happiness.
I work primarily with adults (18+), couples, and families, and have experience with a number of different issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, phobias, grief, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. I also enjoy working with clients experiencing stress from life-transitions such as changing jobs, school, marriage and divorce.
My approach is customized to the individual’s needs and goals. I maintain an attitude of unconditional acceptance of every person I work with and diligently collaborate throughout the process to make sure you are receiving the treatment that’s right for you to help you live the life you want.
