The journey of life can be difficult. We face many challenges along the road. But we are not meant to walk it alone and at times we need to step back and look deeper. To look at the negative patterns we may have developed or negative beliefs. There is always hope, there is always healing.
I am passionate about walking alongside people to help them find that hope and healing; to assist in discovery and moving towards positive change which will lead to inner healing and greater resilience.

I do this through either traditional talk therapy and/or Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.

More Info About My Practice

Trauma Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy:
In trauma we often lose connection with self and others. In TF-EAP we work on connection with self, connection with the horse, and connection with others. It is all about relationship. A horse offers immediate feedback to which we can gain insight into our internal states and our relationship and communication patterns. As one builds connection with the horse he/she rebuilds trust and confidence in oneself and in relationships.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love that I am able to bring hope. I believe I can be an instrument in the healing process and that is a joy. It is amazing to be able to walk alongside someone who is broken and hurting and to watch as they begin to look at the pieces to their puzzle of life and put them back together.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I believe having the courage to look deep into our being, to be able to admit that we are struggling, is the greatest strength. It is with this realisation that we grow stronger.
