My Approach to Helping
For the last 10 years, I’ve worked with children, teens, young adults and families on many issues, including anxiety and depression, anger, social media problems, and social relationships. I’ve also worked with older adults on the life transitions we face as we age, and the emotions we deal with in that process. I’ve helped many people to grow and feel better about their lives.
My approach to therapy is relationship-based, that is, our most important task is to create a trusting relationship where you feel comfortable and safe sharing whatever you want to share, and you can get help. I’m also trained in several formal approaches, including trauma-focused therapy.
I take an open-minded approach to prior diagnoses and believe every person is much more than the sum of their symptoms. I believe everyone can develop and grow, at any age. Using creative approaches such as group work, play therapy, as well as individual and family meetings, I will tailor therapy to your specific needs -- or the needs of your child or teen. I look forward to working with you.
