My Approach to Helping
Almost Summer, 2020 - This is an extremely challenging and tense time, given the COVID-19 reality. Regardless of season, feelings of loneliness, depression or sadness can appear or continue. Why not try a nonjudgmental, safe and comfortable counseling experience and space for us to talk about your issues, and your feelings. The days are getting longer, staying light later. Congratulations on beginning this journey by reading my profile, and approaching Summer 2020, full on.
As an experienced therapist of more than 25 years, I can bring insight and deep respect for all people. Your feelings always have value. Feelings of grief, anxiety, or low self-esteem can be explored following your own goals and within your own comfort zone. You don't need to work through any issues alone, it really is often harder that way.
I work with young adults, mid-life and older adults, and all types of couples, on a variety of issues, such as grief and loss; life transition; trauma; sexual identity; eating disorders; and relationship issues. Our exploration together of what may be troubling to you, or something that may present obstacles to you moving forward in a more satisfied way, can all be explored according to your personal time line for growth. My openness and empathy are most important in working with you, right beside knowledge and insight.
Typical hours to see clients include weekdays and some weekends and early evenings. I offer Pre Marital sessions, Life Coaching and Career Counseling or Coaching sessions.
Sessions are virtual until the restrictions are over, at least until April 30 and into May 2020.
