My Approach to Helping
Sometimes, as we approach the Fall and Winter holidays, feelings of loneliness, depression or sadness can appear or continue. Why not try a safe and comfortable counseling experience and space for us to talk about your issues, your feelings, in general and specifically. Reading this profile is perhaps difficult, but a good way to begin the journey, so congratulations.
As an experienced therapist of more than 25 years, I bring insight and deep respect for all people. Your feelings have value. Those feelings of grief, anxiety, or low self-esteem can be explored following your own goals and within your own comfort zone. You don't need to work through any issues alone, it really is often much harder that way.
I work with all types of young, mid-life and older adults, and couples, on a variety of issues, such as grief and losstransition; traumatic experiences; sexual identity; eating disorders; and sexual dysfunction in women. Our exploration together of what may be troubling to you, or something that may present obstacles to you moving forward in a more satisfied way, can all be explored according to your personal time line for growth. My openness and empathy are most important in working with you, right beside knowledge and insight.
My hours to see clients include weekdays and some weekends and early evenings. I offer Life Coaching and Career Coaching sessions, and at times facilitate therapy groups.
