My Approach to Helping
I am an American Indian and a lifelong native of NC. I am a double alumna of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP), where I received my Master of Arts in education, clinical mental health counseling and have been a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina for the past 3.5 years. Some of my experience includes being a supervisor at a mental health agency where I conduct therapy, develop and implement service plans, provide therapeutic interventions to my clients, and monitor the progress and effectiveness of strategies and interventions used with each client. I provide clinical expertise and conduct various clinical assessments with clients on a regular basis. I have worked with clients from all walks of life, backgrounds, and ethnicities. Counseling has changed my life, which is why I chose this profession. I aim to help change the lives of others, even just the slightest, by empowering them and putting tools in their hands for their mental health and issues of life.
