My Approach to Helping
My desire as a therapist is to come alongside each client as they have their own unique story and process of healing and growth. I aspire to help clients gain self-awareness and connect to what is going on within their heart and mind. I value the safety of the therapeutic relationship and believe that within the safety of this relationship, clients can begin to experience change and feel understood. In the process of working together, we will explore all thoughts, feelings, actions, and beliefs at hand as we set goals and anticipate change. As every person’s journey is unique, I am creative in meeting the needs of each client. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Psychoeducational Therapy, Mindfulness Techniques, Solution-Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and other approaches in my counseling. I utilize visual aids and worksheets to help my clients make progress and track progress outside of the counseling session. I consider it an honor to serve every client who I have the privilege of meeting and counseling.
What else I like to do: Outside of the office, I enjoy all types of art, especially painting. I love cooking, spending time with my family and friends, outdoor activities, visiting coffee shops, and traveling. I love serving in my local church community and meeting new people.
