My Approach to Helping

Is this what you imagined marriage would be like? You planned for the perfect venue, only the best flowers, food, and music to make sure that your wedding day would be the most memorable event ever! What you didn't plan for was the poor communication, the non-existent sexual relationship, financial discord, trouble getting pregnant, worrisome meddling in-laws and don't forget the infidelity with a sprinkle of addiction to top things off. If any of this resonates with you, DON'T WAIT CALL ME TODAY!!

I specialize in Relationship Revitalization and Restoration. My goal is to help you get the marriage you always imagined and learn how to keep it that way.

I work with couples & teach them how to safely and effectively communicate with one another. While togetherness is priceless maintaining a sense of self within the marriage is too. We will address the hard and uncomfortable stuff in a respectful and controlled manner to bring about growth and increased intimacy.

More Info About My Practice

My session fees range from $100 to $120 per 45-60 minute session. I accept cash and most major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover). Payment is due at the time of service.

I am considered an out-of-network provider.

Please keep in mind there are valuable benefits for not using insurance. For instance, your privacy is safe, and your personal information stays with me alone with the exceptions required by HIPAA law. You have the maximum control of your records and privacy as well as freedom of choice in selecting who provides the services that you receive without any restriction.

Please note many insurance companies do reimburse for out-of-network mental health services, but you will have to verify what your particular plan covers. You will be provided with a receipt or "Superbill" upon request for services.

Additional Payment Options: Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts

If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA), Medical Savings Account (MSA), or Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) you may be able to pay for therapy, consultation, and psychological assessment services from such accounts. Utilizing one of these options can in many cases make your services tax-deductible, again you will need to verify this information. Your receipt for services may be submitted for many HSA, FSA, MSA, HRA plans for reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Please be sure to call your health insurance carrier to verify your benefits for Out-of-Network and Outpatient Mental Health coverage.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

What I love about being a Psychotherapist is the payoff! I realize that may sound selfish coming from a therapist since the last thing your counseling process should be about is your therapist's feelings, so let me provide you with this analogy, and maybe it will clarify my position better.

"Do you remember the "Priceless" commercial in 1997? A dad takes his son to a baseball game and pays for a hot dog and drink, but the conversation between the two is priceless? There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's MasterCard.

So here's my version:

"A client initially comes to me hopeless, confused and doubtful that their relationship can be saved, but after a few sessions a totally new and vibrant couple emerges, and that is priceless. There are some things that money just can buy. For everything else, there's a good counselor!"

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

Do your research! If you are buying a car, or a home or searching for the best school for your children what do you do? You do the research. Finding the right therapist very well may be one of the most important decisions one can make as it pertains to their mental health. I am known for encouraging potential clients to come in and meet me first before fully committing to the therapeutic process. It is important to establish a rapport or connection with the person that will be helping you navigate some of the most intimate concerns in your life.
