Life is hard. There are no manuals and somehow we are expected to just know what to do. There are so many unspoken rules, cultural norms, and all this stuff that gets in the way of allowing us to live fully. If you need someone to talk to, to help you navigate through the stress of life, or you simply need some guidance, please call me. I will listen to you, guide you to process your feelings, thoughts, and emotions, and together we will get you where you want to be.

More Info About My Practice

In addition to working with military spouses and families, I am also sensitive to many different cultures. I am Hispanic, my husband is Asian, and we are raising multicultural children. If you're having difficulties with identity, cultural pressure, confusion, I can help.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

I have too. It is part of the reason why I went into social work and became a therapist. It is important that you find the right person that you connect with. I would love to hear about your past experiences and listen to what your goals are for therapy and help you achieve the goals that you set.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I'm a military spouse and we are generally told to "put our big girl shoes on and carry on." This isn't helpful. I've done the whole suck it up and power through thing and let me tell you, it catches up eventually. Nobody will give you a star for powering through. In fact, you will go further in life if you face and process your emotions, thoughts, and feelings rather than bury them deep down. It is an empowering and freeing feeling and you are strong enough to do it.
