My Approach to Helping
I believe that there is an innate strength in all of us; I also know that living a fulfilling and meaningful life can be a profoundly challenging task. I focus on empowering people to achieve the life they desire and helping people gain the contentment, peace, or change that they seek in their lives. I believe healing is possible in all situations, and that having a caring and honest professional walking alongside you can be a powerful agent of change.
I'm guided by the person-centered approach, putting clients' goals at the forefront of the counselling process. Using a blend of existential, narrative, mindfulness approaches, with interventions from the Adlerian perspective and CBT, I encourage clients to explore their own biopsychosocial experiences, to assist them in achieving their goals.
I have experience working with adults, adolescents, families, and couples addressing a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, life transitions, LGBTQ issues, loss, trauma, addiction, eating disorders, self-harm, living with illness, and spiritual questioning. ***Please see my website for more information on payment and coverage.
