My Approach to Helping

Are you struggling with issues such as trauma, anxiety, or depression? I would be honored to help you overcome the difficulties you\'re having. Trauma causes issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship problems. It can make life unbearable, that\'s why I have dedicated my life to helping clients find their way to a healthier, happier life. I use a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to help clients identify the root of what is causing feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. Our underlying or subconscious core beliefs are what drives us to live the way we do. That\'s why I feel it is very important to understand core values and how they impact our lives on a daily basis. I provide my clients with tools that you start using immediately and start seeing real results that can change your life forever. I work hard to help you overcome the issues that are buried deep inside so that you can live the life you always wanted. It is possible.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My life?s goal has been to help others. For 7 years I worked with families and at-risk youth in crisis. Many were on the verge of being removed from their home and placed in either foster care or juvenile detention centers. As a case manager, my job was to help them learn coping skills to manage their feelings and behaviors and then to learn how to express themselves in healthier ways. The young people I was working with needed to be able to explore their situations and learn how to make sense of a world they felt little or no control over.

God placed a calling on my heart to do more. So I went back to school. I enrolled in the Masters of Art program in Professional Counseling at Liberty University while I continued to work full time. I completed my M.A. and became a therapist. I grew from every experience, I had to learn how to help myself first, and now I want to help you. No one should live a life that is riddled with self doubt, insecurities, negative self-talk, or low self-esteem. I want that for everyone.

My passion is to empower individuals to be able to live their lives to their full potential. My desire is to work with young people, families and adults to increase self confidence, learn how to manage emotions and express their feelings in healthy ways. It?s so exciting to think about the limitless possibilities and all the potential that life has to offer.

Lifeline Counseling is just that?a lifeline to help you get where you want to go.
