Dr. Carissma Hughes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor (LCSW-S) in Texas. She is the owner and Director of Clinical Services at Obsidian Counseling Services, PLLC. She is also a Certified Depression & Mood Disorder Treatment Professional, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2 (CCTP-II). She has experience working with LGBTQ-identified persons, Military Veterans, the elderly, hospice patients and families, couples, and childrenAdolescents. Dr. Hughes takes a person-centered approach and reminds each client that they are the experts in their own lives.
Dr. Carissma Hughes earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Bowling Green State University; a Master’s in Social work from Texas State University; a master’s in Non-profit Management from Johnson & Wales University; and a Doctorate in Social work with a specialization in family studies from Walden University.
