My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with 5 years of clinical experience. The primary focus of my work has been with adults facing substance use disorders. It is my belief that the therapeutic process should incorporate a collaborative and integrative approach. This client-centered approach towards healing acknowledges that every individual has their own narrative as well as unique strengths to be incorporated into the therapeutic journey.
As a Clinician, it is my goal to provide clients with a safe, nonjudgmental space, providing empathic support and compassion, as I come alongside my clients and assist them in processing and overcoming emotional challenges.
Therapy is a powerful resource and can be viewed as additional support for those who are struggling with symptoms of mental health disorders to support personal processing, exploration, and healing. It is my belief that often a barrier to change is limited insight. Integrating a mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral approach, the therapeutic setting becomes a space to increase awareness, incorporate healthy coping mechanisms, and ultimately engage in changes, cognitive and behavioral, that support overall wellness and individual autonomy.
It would be my honor and pleasure to come alongside you as you prepare to embark on this journey to healing.
