My Approach to Helping
Candi is a motivating and empathetic therapist who has been working with children, adolescents, and their families for over 5 years. She completed a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto, specializing in Children & their Families.
Candi has been practicing Clinical Social Work for two years. Prior to this, she spent two years working in an elementary and high school on a remote, fly-in only First Nations Reserve. She has extensive experience working from a trauma-informed lens. She has been working with children and families living with mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety, and has been source of support and training for families living with children diagnosed with ADHD and Autism.
Candi is additionally trained in Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Mental Health First Aid. She uses brief, solution-focused techniques mixed with CBT and narrative therapy. She openly incorporates different methods in therapy to cater to the needs of each individual client or family.
Above all else, Candi is flexible. She works with you and your family to make sure appointments are kept, even if it means making school, home, or online appointments. Speak with her today to see if she can meet what your needs.
