I am a pre-licensed marriage and family therapist. My area of focus in within sexuality and sex therapy. Within this work, I primarily work with couples, individuals, and systems. Common areas of focus are: Poly and non-monogamous relationships, BDSM and Kink awareness, erectile and sensation difficulties, trans and enby identity navigation and support, premature ejaculation, intimacy issues, and masculine identity issues and exploration.
In my professional life prior to being a therapist, I worked as a sex educator for a sex-positive organization. I have 5+ years of practice in sexuality education and have attended numerous training across the U.S. to further my knowledge as a sex-positive sexuality educator and therapist.
My current models of therapeutic intervention are primarily negation based as I see the client's experience and input to be important to the therapeutic relationship. A typical intake includes a conversation regarding how the client would like to navigate therapy and how they would like to interact with the therapist. Some clients may report wanting more of a supportive experience, while others may want more of a directive experience. My ideals inform that making these choices explicit assists in better outcomes.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
Remember that this is YOUR treatment. When looking for a therapist, ask about what is important to you and what you are needing out of therapy. If you need to fire a therapist or need referrals when searching, communicate this and a good therapist will understand and provide referrals.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
I am a fan of weekly therapy for at least 2 months as a way to form a therapeutic relationship and build goals. From there, clients are open to continuing weekly or moving to a bi-weekly schedule. Depending on the goals of therapy, the duration can last 2 months or a year +.
