My Approach to Helping
My general approach to therapy and counseling centers around person-centered therapy. This allows a therapeutic relationship to build that focuses on trust, respect, and honesty. I like to work with clients of all diverse backgrounds and cultures. My practice focus is on trauma informed care, LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy, building coping skills, processing emotions, learning to build and maintain boundaries, communicate more assertively, and more. I want to be there to help facilitate growth, to see clients become stronger and more confident in themselves. Treatment approaches include cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, and person-centered therapy, but I tailor therapy and treatment to the client and their needs.
