My Approach to Helping
Counseling is a therapeutic relationship that fosters empathy and support. My goal is to have a collaborative working relationship built on confidence and trust. It is my desire to work alongside others and walk with them through whatever circumstances they are faced with in order to facilitate positive change. By helping shine a light on the situation, individuals will be able to see things a little clearer in a safe, non-judgmental space.
A combination of counseling techniques will be utilized, including CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, person-centered, and family systems approach. These will help highlight personal strengths while teaching how to build upon them. I am experienced in treating anxiety, depression, griefloss, self-harm, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress, and guiltshame.
Learning how to implement healthy coping skills is an important step in leading to growth, resiliency, and improved daily living. Individuals will be able to experience a sense of freedom and empowerment.
