My Approach to Helping
I believe that every person can benefit from the support of a trusted helper. As we move through life and experience transitions, challenges, and struggles, a person with tools, perspective, and confidence is well-equipped to move forward and to heal. While we cannot change what has happened to us, I believe in healing, growth, and resilience. My clients present with a broad range of challenges and are ready to walk alongside a supportive therapist as they make changes in their lives, develop important skills and work towards becoming the best versions of themselves.
I have extensive experience working with trauma, complex trauma, significant life transitions, and grief loss. I am also passionate about supporting people and their partners through matters of women's health, the impact of infertility, and birth trauma. I am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) as well as in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I also focus on adjustment, life transitions, and empowerment.
Reaching out for support can be one of the most difficult steps to take. I believe that each person is the expert in their own experience and that when provided with new tools and insight, everyone is capable of living a meaningful and intentional life.
