My Approach to Helping
I believe that therapy works best when we work together.
My goal as a counselor is to work side-by-side with you to identify and accomplish your goals for your life. I provide a safe, comfortable, non-judgmental space for you to be heard and understood as we work toward making a positive change in your life. I work with individuals with a variety of needs including: anxiety, depression, grief, negative self-talk, relationship troubles, anger management, and other stressing emotions and behaviors. I approach counseling from a place of encouragement, empathy, and compassion as we work toward a better life for you or your loved one.
Integrating different counseling techniques and approaches will allow me to best serve your unique individual needs.
While I tend toward a cognitive-behavioral model, the techniques and approach I bring to our sessions will be oriented to best serve your unique goals. I also provide biblically based counseling from a Christian approach upon request.
I will provide a comfortable, laid-back space for you to be heard and understood while taking steps toward positive change. I will respect and appreciate you as an individual, just as you are, and work with you to accomplish your goals.
