My Approach to Helping
Are you unhappy about where you are in life and fear others won't accept you for who you are? Do you feel as though you have to hide facets of yourself? Do you feel stuck and want to change? I provide a safe therapeutic relationship and counseling that is authentic, honest, encouraging, supportive and aligned with the vision you have for your life. I can help you if you struggle with depression, self-esteem, anxiety, trauma, emotional disturbance, grief, sexual issues, identity issues or personality disorders. My goal is to help you find wholeness and the skills you need to become your own therapist. I welcome people of all faiths and backgrounds.
As a cognitive behavioral therapist, I believe in the healing that comes from taking a deeper look at the thought patterns and unconscious agreements we form throughout our lives. I use a variety of techniques aimed at empowering my clients to realize the changes that they want to see in their lives, find healing, and relief from symptoms. I work within the framework that the brain is capable of neuroplasticity, and that you are capable of rewiring neural pathways to encourage positive thoughts and healthy habits.
I know that reaching out for help is a miracle in and of itself. All the setbacks, insecurities and potholes you have gone through to get to this point of readiness can be overwhelming.
