My Approach to Helping
People experience stress, sadness, frustration, and anxiety. These challenges might contribute to feeling stuck and unsure of which direction or actions to take. Sometimes, feeling stuck we are pulled to unhelpful actions. My goal is to support you in addressing your mental wellness needs so you can move toward your goals. These goals might be personal, social, educational, or professional. Enhancing your ability to practice self-care and understand your own mental health can lead to positive outcomes across multiple facets of life. Together, we can accomplish this through open communication and collaboration in a safe environment.
I provide a non-judgmental, understanding space to discuss your mental wellness. This work occurs both inside and outside of the session where we figure out what works well for you as you find meaning within your own journey. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I draw from my training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), MI, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based solution-focused techniques.
