My Approach to Helping
I provide counseling across many areas and age groups. ADHD comprehensive evaluation and behavior management are offered, including help with parenting and school. As an adoptive parent and international adoption researcher, I am passionate about helping families with preparing for and transitioning through adoption, as well as post-adoption services. I enjoy providing counseling for individuals, children, adolescents and teens, and families in the areas of ADHD, bullying, self-esteem, self-harm, anxiety, depression, life changes, relationship issues, adoptive families, and more. I utilize multiple methods and techniques in order to tailor therapy to the individual needs of the client. I look forward to partnering with you to achieve your goals.
Since 2005, I have worked with students and families as a school counselor. I earned my Master's degree in Counseling in 2005 and currently am a Ph.D. Candidate at Texas Tech University. I come from a military family and understand the specific challenges and stressors military families face. I have also spent significant time as a counselor serving military families, children in particular. I look forward to partnering with you to achieve your goals!
