Billing and Insurance

Fees: In regards to rates, I charge $130 for a standard, one-hour session. I know this rate can be difficult for some people, which is why I work very, very hard to make each session exceptionally productive. Using follow-up surveys, clients have rated 98% of sessions as "helpful" to "very helpful". My clients know that they will learn new tools and strategies to tackle their goals & challenges every time we meet.

To further differentiate me from other clinical options that you may have explored, I tend to have a more flexible schedule than most clinicians offering session times in the evenings and on weekends. Additionally, I often focus on 1) the practical tools that are useful from day-to-day and 2) the underlying issues that cause personal and family strife. Lastly, my centrally-located office is convenient to most Houstonians.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

I believe counseling is best used to address specific goals and/or concerns. My counseling style is to first understand and then provide ideas to enhance the lives of clients. Some people desire counseling as a lifelong tool for intentional living, but most have a few problems they want to resolve. I deliver practical tips and strategies, based in scientific research, to resolve entrenched issues.
