My Approach to Helping

I utilize a holistic person-centered approach to therapy. I provide a warm, compassionate space where you can expect to be accepted just as you are. I believe we all are unique and there is no one right approach that fits all people. I work collaboratively with each client to see what works best for them. I tailor therapy uniquely for each individual. Some modalities I use are Mindfulness, Body Wisdom, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing).

My core belief is that people are inherently valuable and every human being is born with an innate
potential for growth, and like a seed when it gets all of the nourishment it needs it can bloom and flourish. I believe when people have a chance to be heard and valued without judgement in a safe environment they have an opportunity toward health and healing.

If you are experiencing feelings of uncertainty in your life that provokes stress, anxiety or fear I can help. I want you to know you do not have to go through this alone. There are times when we all hit a bump in the road or feel like there is no relief in sight. Sometimes we all need someone we can trust and connect with when we are feeling hopeless, powerless, or overwhelmed. In my journey of life, I have experienced these thoughts and feelings myself.
On top of all of that, it is not always easy to find a therapist you resonate with. We are all beautifully different and no one therapist is the right one for every person looking for help.
I provide a free 30 minute consultation as finding the right fit for you is significant.

More Info About My Practice

Hi there, I’m Bonnie Fleckenstein an LPC-Intern supervised by Jennifer Buffalo, LPC-S, LMFT. I provide psychotherapy services at Luminary Counseling. A little about me, I am passionate about helping people in the community. I am at a time in my life when I can give back. How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

On my own journey of life I have experienced anxiety, depression, and other life transitions. I have been on the other side of the couch and understand how hard it can be to reach out for help.
