My Approach to Helping
I am a guide, here to illuminate your path. I am passionate about standing beside you as you embark upon your journey. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Art Therapist (ATR), I creatively employ a broad range of mind and body focused therapies to help you become more creative, caring, and productive along the way. I believe that support at different stages of your journey, especially during difficult transitions, is vitally important. I also have a deep commitment to working with those in later life stages, particularly individuals living with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and their family members who may be struggling with the duties of full-time care-giving. My professional experience also includes the powerfully emotional work of helping sexual assault and trauma survivors rebuild their lives and become their own best advocates. A graduate of the Psychological Counseling: Art Therapy program at the Adler School of Professional Psychology, my practice is influenced by my passion for art making, photography, music and yoga – all of which can be utilized to guide you to self-realization, personal growth and healing along your journey.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
You are an explorer. You wish to explore and reclaim your authentic self, to learn, or relearn to experience joy. Maybe you are a survivor of trauma from a relationship, and you seek to reawaken your body through practices such as meditation and yoga or to rekindle your sexuality. Maybe you are exploring life?s many transitions, some more painful than others. For example, we live most of our lives with stable, predictable parents. As our parents age, however, transitions come without warning. Prepared or not, these transitions will be emotionally demanding. You want to prepare for or process the emotions that can be overwhelming during these times. Perhaps you suffer daily from the stress caused by anxiety and depression. But as you experience these emotions, you wish to explore ways in which to move through them and to heal. You know that nothing of consequence is achieved without striving, without exploring. You are ready.
